Small Christian Community groups for the Season of Lent will begin the week of February 23.  If you wish to sign up for a group please contact the parish office or pick up a form in the entrance of church.

Joint us for SOUP & SOUL FOOD:  Soup at 6:00 PM followed by presentation at 6:30 PM:  Tuesday, February 24, at St. John's:  What's So Fat About Fat Tuesday? and Tuesday, March 17, at St. Luke's:  Spirituality of Work.

The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process to prepare adults for Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist.  Shannon Shelton-Ganser is preparing for full reception into the Catholic Church.  Please pray for her and her sponsor, Jeff, as we continue their faith journey.  If you are interested or know of anyone interested in being part of this process, please contact Sr. Lynne Marie at the parish office.

First time parents (or parents-to-be) are required to attend a Baptism Prep class prior to their child's baptism.  One or both parents need to be registered member(s) of St. Luke's Parish.  If you wish to have your child baptized in our parish and are not registered here, you will need to obtain a letter of permission from your pastor stating that you are an active member in that parish and may have your child baptized here.  Classes are held every other month on Mondays at 7:00 p.m.  The next scheduled class is November 5 at St. John's and then again on January 7, 2008 at St. Luke's. Please call the parish office to register ahead of time.

We continue with the Prayer Shawl outreach ministry at St. Luke's and St. John's.  This is a ministry of caring and concern and brings people together to knit or crochet shawls.  Prayers continue throughout the making of the shawl for the one(s) in need, i.e., someone who is ill, has lost a loved one or has experienced some crisis.  If you wish to join this group, contact Jane Basarich at 583-6222 or check out the website at http://www.shawlministry.com.

Visiting the Sick and Homebound: Fr. Mike and Sr. Lynne Marie continue to bring Communion on First Fridays to those who are unable to attend Mass. If you or others you know are sick/hospitalized/homebound and would like a visit from one of us, please call the parish office.
